This issue is over the halfway mark of the existence of the magazine. Time seems to have flown by and we have grown and learned so much in that time. We were able to make solid connections and grow our team nice and organically.

This Magazine is 8 months old, closing in on our first Anniversary. 8 months, 3 completed projects and when this issue drops, we will have only 2 days until we have the largest project of this magazines existence and to be honest, my entire career.

The outpouring of love and support from our staff, partners, and you the readers have been nothing short of awesome, we will be eternally grateful. The issue has a wonderful Cover Model, Brookelyn Rawn @brookelynrawn. Brookelyn came to me for photos a few years ago with her wonderful mother and we took some great photos and developed a warm family-oriented friendship that last to this day.

Special Edition Issue Featuring LeVonyah Thornton

Welcome to the second “Special Issue” from Publica International. This issue will cover at the time it was the largest project of this magazine’s lifetime. This project was the idea of our Creator and Senior Editor Rich Bailey, and assisted by Roderick Scott of Raud Scott Photography, Acie Blaze of Studio Max, Quincy St Ange, Rodney Bailey of RJB&Co, and Jarett Blanks of Photo Blanks.

This project took a lot of time to plan and execute, we couldn’t have done it without our team being on the same page and working as one. We saw a Pinterest post and we were like “why not us? We can do that, lets try it!” It was on from there.

Greetings to our readers, we hope this issue find you all well. The countdown has begun for our largest special issue to publish, 9/15/2022, just 10 days from now. So many people have assisted in this issue certainly being the best issue yet. We are so proud of it and cannot wait to present it to you.

The outpouring of love and support from our staff, partners, and you the readers have been nothing short of awesome, we will be eternally grateful. The issue has a wonderful Cover Model, Runway Model, Fitness Competitor and soon to be actress, Carmen Fernandez Hockaday @theredphoenixinc. Carmen came to us in July to submit some photos to us for publishing. Ever meeting Carmen, we started a business relationship that saw her participate in three magazine issues, two major projects, and now the cover! Carmen is a perfectionist, she’s driven to be the best she can be, and will continue to achieve tremendous success it the future.

Although we often use various social media platforms to view and interact with a huge variety of photographs nothing beats the feeling of seeing your work published in a magazine! While working on our largest project to date, the exotic car shoot, I make the comment to Rich, “everybody doing what they love without the normal transfer of money.

Collaboration is defined as the action of working with someone to produce or create something. I learned a long time ago that doing things alone may bring achievements and great success but it‘s the wins with a team that we value and appreciate the most. When we all come together and help one another, it builds a confidence and trust in everyone involved that is a true indicator of the importance of unity. While working on this months issue, Rich gave me the opportunity to showcase my work for the cover and it moved me to bring to light the beauty of a collaboration project that was given to me by the EVO House of Fashion Production Team in Jacksonville, FL.

Well, well, well, twelve months, twelve monthly issues, and we have come down to our end of year edition, with cover photo and design by associate photographer and future partner Tony Peroni @totony_photo. Were do I even start; this is so overwhelming to say the least. NEVER in my wildest imagination would I have thought that this magazine that I started on in my office, with the first four issues having only my photos in it.

I did all the research and learned on the fly, made A LOT of mistakes, trail by fire. I learned a lot but still have so much more to learn. One thing I’ve learned repeatedly is that I CAN’T do this all by myself, I’ve got to release the reins, trust the process, and depend on my partners and the awesome team that we put together.

Through all the ups and downs, I know that they had to happen for the growth of this magazine and the Brand as a whole.
